Modern Slavery
Last updated19 May 2026
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps taken by Con-Tec Solutions Ltd to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our business or supply chains.
1. Our Organisation
Con-Tec Solutions Ltd is a commercial and industrial electrical contractor operating across the North West of England. We deliver installation, testing, and compliance services to healthcare, commercial, and industrial clients. Our directly employed workforce carries out the majority of site activities.
2. Our Supply Chains
Our supply chains primarily consist of:
- Electrical materials and equipment from UK-based distributors and manufacturers.
- Specialist subcontractors engaged for specific scopes of work.
- Professional services including training, compliance, and certification bodies.
We recognise that certain sectors and geographies carry elevated modern slavery risk and take steps to assess and mitigate this in our procurement activity.
3. Policies in Relation to Slavery and Human Trafficking
Our internal policies include:
- A Code of Conduct setting out our ethical standards for employees and contractors.
- Recruitment practices that verify the right to work in the UK for all employees.
- A Whistleblowing Policy enabling staff to raise concerns without fear of reprisal.
4. Due Diligence
We carry out due diligence on our supply chain partners, including requiring key suppliers to confirm their compliance with the Modern Slavery Act. Subcontractors are vetted prior to engagement and are expected to uphold equivalent standards within their own operations.
5. Risk Assessment and Management
We assess modern slavery risk as part of our supplier onboarding process. Higher-risk categories are subject to enhanced scrutiny. We prioritise suppliers with recognised ethical trade accreditations where possible.
6. Training and Awareness
Relevant members of our management team receive training to identify and respond to signs of modern slavery. We communicate our expectations to all employees as part of induction and through our code of conduct.
7. Key Performance Indicators
We measure the effectiveness of these steps by monitoring:
- Completion rates of modern slavery awareness training.
- The proportion of key suppliers who have confirmed their compliance.
- The number of concerns raised through our whistleblowing channel.
8. Approval
This statement has been approved by the board of directors of Con-Tec Solutions Ltd and will be reviewed annually.
